WHO WE ARE

Colonial Beach Playhouse is an activity of the Colonial Beach Performing Arts Association, a non-profit corporation.  To view our Facebook page, click on the "f" symbol above.

The Colonial Beach Performing Arts  Association CBPAA) could be termed the parent organization of Colonial Beach Playhouse. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit Virginia corporation. Contributions to CBPAA are tax deductible on state and federal returns. In accordance with state law and the organization's Articles and Incorporation and Bylaws, Directors cannot be paid and the organization cannot make a profit.

CBPAA was established to present a wide variety of the performing arts, not just theatre. At this time we do not have a physical home, but that is one of our major objectives. Once we own or lease our own venue, we plan to stage other performing arts events at the venue, when the playhouse is between shows.

The non-theatre events we may present include orchestras, bands, featured musicians and singers, youth productions, recitals, magicians, and comics. Once we are established, we expect to stage an event almost every week of the year.

On August 26, 2017, CBPAA staged its inaugural event--the CB's Got Talent Show on the outdoor stage at the Colonial Beach Community Center. Almost 300 people attended. We had 18 performers from 8 to 68 years of age.
