All of our seats are assigned. To increase visibility, our seat rows are tiered.
WHEELCHAIR seating. We have two seats designated as wheel chair seats, A6 and B6. By selecting one of these seats you confirm that you or someone in your party requires wheelchair seating (or other disability). These seats may be released to all at 48 hours before the time of the performance, at the discretion of the Playhouse. One companion seat adjacent to the wheelchair seat (marked with a C) may be purchased for a companion. If you have any questions about wheelchair seating, please call our box office at 804-214-0517. Please leave a message if no one answers. The message will be converted to an email and we will answer within a few hours.
MOBILITY problems. Except for rows A and B, all seats require stepping up one or more normal steps. If you or someone in your party has difficulty with stairs, please select seats in Rows A or B. If these rows are unavailable, please have someone in your party to help anyone who needs assistance with stairs. Where there are steps, railings or grab handles are installed and glow tape marks the floor.
VIEWABILITY. Here are some recommendations for viewability. The front row is row A, and all of these seats are unobstructed. Rows C, E, and G are 7 inches higher than the rows in front of them and therefore are recommended for those who have trouble seeing over other people.
ENTERING and EXITING. Because they are elevated, rows E, F, and G are only accessible from the stairs on audience left. Higher numbered seats in these rows will have to go past others to get in and out. If you want to get in and out fast, please select seats in rows A through D.
